How does the Just1Day Workshop work?

The Just1Day workshop is split into 3 distinct phases, designed to quickly and objectively get to the core issues and build action plans:
Discovery
Discovery is a rapid assessment by each attendee of the current status of each of the 12 major elements of your Service Management strategy. Each attendee, without consultation, records their own ‘view’ of the current capabilities, future aspirations and timescales. Typically this will take about an hour.
Consensus
Consensus takes the findings from Discovery to initiate a group discussion around each element. This in turn leads to an agreed position on where you are today, where you want to be and how quickly you want to get there. The output from the Consensus phase produces a prioritised list of activities. Depending on the level of debate this will take an hour or two.
Action Plans
Action Plans form the rest of the day. Armed with what we have learnt from Discovery and Consensus, we are now in a position to take each prioritised element and work with the group to build an Action Plan to address the issues to be resolved, combining your own insight into the business with our Service Management experience and expertise. Each plan will address the issues to be resolved, associated actions, resources, dependencies, owners and timescales.

is intended for the IT Director and all senior IT staff in responsible positions.
In the Discovery phase it is suggested that representatives from the major business units also attend.
